Default My son, Buddy...

Thoughts?

Other than the ceiling fan reflection in the eyeballs, how'd this turn out?

This is a nice picture...sharp eyes. I would clean up the eyes (the fan) though. Also, I wonder if this wouldn't look better as a portrait shot...more of the dog, less floor. It is framed well as it is, but I think if you got the top of his head and more of his snout it would be nice to look at. And maybe boost the DOF a tiny bit so his nose is in focus?

he's a handsome devil alright.....but, are you positive you two are related?...

i like the overall warmth of the shot and the expression on buddy's face....but, my feeling is that the crop is too tight....i would have liked to have had all of his gaping maw in this photo......

What i would love to see on both of these beautiful dogs is a different perspective. What i mean is you always see pictures of dogs looking down on them. The ones that are differnet are always the bestest even tho these are wonderful shots

I agree, the thing is, I did try to go for different.. just didnt work that way when I filled the fram... I actually stood up on the fireplace ledge to get a higher perspective... plus they tend to be a little, ok, a lot rambunctious, so taking their picture is quite a challenge in its self.... Not too mention, I was trying to keep the clutter down since I took the pictures in my living room and didnt want a lot of distraction in the background so this was really the only thing my simple mind could think of .... lol

higabyte,

Post processing was developed by a guy with living room clutter. Then anything became possible.
