In the whole shot, only the word Passport is sharp, the rest is very blurry, the highlight on the coins are creating smudges. Please pardon my tough criticism, I did not mean to be rude.

Hi. Having seen your first attempt, I'm still not sure what you are envisioning as your final work. The extreme range of contrast from the bright money to tje dark passport make it very hard to read. The mass of the out of focus coins also tends to be a distraction rather than adding value to the overall image. While I appreciate your reference to the EXIF data being available by clicking on the photo, the easier you make it for the reviewer to critique your photo, the better response you will get. Posting the data with your photo saves the reviewer time from having to navigate back and forth to the flickr site.

I like the concept in this photo. After reading the critiques I have some questions about improving it. I don't mean to highjack your thread Gadgeteer it is just that I am trying to improve my own skills. Should the lighting be moved to the lower right of the passport thus putting the coins in a soft shadow and am I correct in assuming the focus problem is a shallow dof created by a large aperture.
