Well, breaking the rules can produce amazing shots if you know how to brake them. (Said for so many professionals photographers). As for your shot I guess you liked the lamp so maybe a different angle and a little bit more close could improve the shot because other way the lines of the wall and reflections in the column just generates distractions I think. Thanks for sharing it!

I like it as is. The reflections and the angles all work to make it interesting. Think about that. You took a photo of a wall that's actually interesting to look at.

It would have been nice to shoot it from a different angle -like from the round column looking up IMO only.
I see it as Organized Abstract I like metalic things that are silvery but the grid is a bit distracting. I have a hard time getting and staying focused on the light cause it too looks cool ( I'm wierd that way) !
