Smile school assingment and psychology

Hi everyone !

I took this one two days ago.
It all started when I tried to take some pictures for my psychology class, the topic was attitudes, for my experience I was getting some decent shots.
Then this girl from my class came by and wants a picture too. So near there was a building in construction and a white wooden wall. We got there and she started posing, then i got on top of a chair and got this. What was really weird for me was that everyone from my psychology class was having fun with the photoshoot(wich has never happen to me)

So what do you think ?

I'm not nearly an expect but my honest opinion is that she should be looking 'into' the shot, rather than out of it, and you just slightly cropped off her hand a bit. To me, to make this an even greater photograph than it already is (and it is a great photo), I would have framed it so that the girl was more to the right of the frame and have more white space to the left; that way it looks like she's looking inward towards the white space. I'd also have her facing the light source, rather than away. Again, just the opinion of a complete amateur.

Thanks peach
honesty is always welcome

I didn't notice I almost cut one of her fingers, worse is that I can't do anything to save those. Just did'nt realize when I was taking the picture.

I actually kind of disagree about looking into the dark area. I think that it adds to the atmosphere that she's looking into the shadow area and out of the shot. It portrays more feeling that way... kind of a more sombre feeling. Like she's kind of saying that she doesn't want to be in the picture... not that she doesn't, just that like I said, it's more sombre. if that makes any sense lol

Yes like if she was unsure of something.
oh I made the dark side even darker ( may I exagerated a little ). But I think this way that unsure mood is expressed clearly ( well maybe)

Anyways here it is

There you go, that was the expression I was trying to figure out I think perhaps a little lighter than you went in this second photo, but I do like where you're going with it. Plus now you can't tell that you cut off the tips of her fingers in the shot
