Gadgeteer, you can edit your post instead of reposting the thread, but I'll edit down the size for you

looks like someone's traveling.....

i like the composition.....i'm all about the staged shot.....it's a bit on the dark side, which i think you were going for.....how about a bump in the contrast?.....

i'd probably rather see some coins rather than the keys. or at least the keys elsewhere in the photo. it is a bit on the dark side (perhaps try a lighter table?) and staged looking, but i don't mind the second part.

You are off to a good start. Was there a reason that the focus is to the rear of the frame rather than the front (or were you focusing on the center of the image and this is how the depth of field played out?)? Manual or autofocus?

Thanks peeperita,
Traveling may be in the cards soon.
This was totaly staged and yes I was going for the dimly lit, But not totally what i wanted. And as for the contrast.. I'll adjust abit
Thanks Peeperita !

You know MDWsta4 I was hashing that same quest(undecided).I am going to shoot this again w/o Keys and w/ coins . It is already telling a story I think i need to simplify.
Thanks MDW !

Thanks clockdoc,
I decided to put the focus on the passport word (manual focus).Crazy Question--Is having the front out of focus permissible? I also wanted the keys to be out of focus.I compd. my flash then i shut it off and went longer exp. With a little more DoF.I tried hard to achieve every aspect of this shot and welcome all the feedback from the more exp. photographers like yourself.
Thanks clockdoc !
I'll shoot this composition again with some adjustments
