![]() Any suggestions on how to keep the snow from being over exposed. Early morning has too many shadows. Evening may be a possibility but I think I might have the same problems as morning. I have not spent a night there before so I am not really sure

You could try bracketing the pic, so you take 3 exposures, or you could try exposing on a different part of the picture. Try exposing on some of the other areas in the photograph such as the actual white snow and see how that looks - remember that you can always get some detail back from underexposing - but can't get anything back from a blowout.
