Exclamation Myself

My Portrait - Copy

My Portrait

Hi, everybody!

I know i'm breaking one of our rules. Please, bear with me.
I have a dilemma. I have to select one of the above self-portrait for the front cover of my official advertisement portfolio. i like both of them and that's my problem. So tell me: 1st or 2nd?
thx!

I like the skin tone better in the second shot. The B&W is nice too, but the color shot just seems a bit warmer. I also think the background looks more interesting in color.

I will have to say I like the second one a little better.
The colors in the shot are very complimentary - it makes the photo seem a little more inviting.

definitely the color version. Both real nice bur like the colors of the shirt and the backdrop against the face. makes your face more of a focal point. Not sure if thats what you were going for with that mug..j/k! lol! real nice photo drax...i say the b&w one is a bit too monochromatic.....

Hey Drax,
I agree with everyone else, the color one just pops. I B&W is good as well, but it just doesnt grab like the color one does.

Thumbs up decision made

Thx a lot guys,

Your inputs helped me a lot. I'll go for the colored one. I knew i could count on you; and that's what makes DPS Forums a great place (family).

Both are great shots. The skin tone and lighting in #2 is makes my choice for me.

A bit late (better late than never, right?), but I agree with everyone else. The second one is much better for your purposes. Better colours, warmer, draws you in more.

Also late-but I like the latter too. You have a nice smile!

I am not sure what you meant about breaking the rules...but I just got in on this group, so I might have missed something. What aren't we supposed to do?

Critique posts should have only one picture in them The full rules for the critique forum are here.

PS, we'll forgive you this time Drax
