Default Glowing Tree

Tree of Light

This is a picture I took pretty early at school. It seems a bit overexposed but I like it alot.

I like it, I think? It made me squint my eyes the way I do when the real sun shines in them!!

Wow I just tried looking at it again, and I can't!

Is my mind playing tricks on me, or is the sun just that bright in the photograph?!

How were you able to look through your viewfinder through the lens without burning your eyeballs out???

Hi and welcome to the group. Nice atmospheric effect! Any reason why you shot this at ISO 400? You may want to play with cropping a bit from the left side as the dark mass tends to take away from the overall balance of the image. Good job on this one! How do you like your D80?

Thanks.
Thanks.
Because I didn't think about it. More accurately, I had been lowering it as I was finally getting some light and the grainyness had been bugging me. I think my book said the quality doesn't increase much below 400.
Good idea.
Thanks.
It's my first slr. I've been enjoying it a lot but there's so many things to keep track of so I'm still getting used to it.

Also it's probably important to note it was a foggy morning so that's why you can see the streaks of light, there's no background and I was able to look at the sun. When it was a little bit lower you could look right at the sun without any glare.
