Default Tubs

I knew right away that I really didn't get what I wanted with this shot. The long row of old tubs was great, especially since they were all different colors and in different states of decay, but I just didn't feel like I got that at all.

The picture is slightly cropped, but, past that, I didn't do anything to it post-production.

Any and ALL thoughts would be welcome. I like 'repetition' shots like this, where it's several things all lined up in a row, but I've never been very successful at taking them myself. I'd love to get better.

A larger copy of the photo is at: http://shellysometimes.deviantart.com/art/Tubs-66241511

Thanks ever so!

You could have tried a better vantage point. For example I think from really low down or high up would have looked interesting.

This photo is medicore, it's not bad but not good either.

I agree with igor - my eyes wanted to crawl up next to the closest tub and see what the shot would look like looking down the row at tub-level, maybe even up from below slightly, with less house/trees in the picture. Great subject!

Hi! The tubs are GREAT! But I was wondering if the photo is straight? I'm new to taking photos so I'm not that comfortable with critiquing but I agree with igor too. :>

I think its a great subject and the angle is nice but the thing probably not giving it the best it can be is the top of each tub almost lins up creating a vertical bright white line through the frame. If you had been a foot lower or higher it might have defined the tubs a bit more. I do like the fact that they are all different colors....
Possible to reshoot there and play around with the ablge a bit more?

I really like the subject, but I agree the white line distracts. I also find the wooden shed distracting, I find my eye drwn to it, then it stays there.

Definately worth more shots if you can get them.
