Default The light that got me lucky

My GF and I were in this bar/restaurant in Baguio..ambience was really nice and it was freezing outside. Just by looking at this picture, you can imagine that the place was really cozy and warm . Kinda set the mood for a romantic evening.

This was a quick shot taken while she was in the ladies room. please, tell me what you think of this shot. I did no post processing on this one, and I was thinking if I could still improve it.

You have captured a nice warm mood here. Compositionally it is a little static with the alignment of the lamp, dish and tray. Good background in that there is nothing to compete with the subject matter.
You could also try hiding the lamp behind an object so that the light source itself is not visible. One's eye probably goes first to the bright flame and then to the dish but once there, my interest is not held for very long. Thanks for sharing your shot with us. I hope you had an enjoyable meal.

Can I have that light?

Nice warm colors and you got the moods for sure. I find myself looking for a bit more of the base of the lamp. But a nice photo nonetheless.

I fin myself agreeing with clockdoc a lot, but not in the instance of hiding the light source. I think in this phot it's okay because it's such a nice piece. The hardware and shape of the bulb/cover/whatever makes for a nice addition to the shot. It's nice and curvy.
Good job!
