Default four Giraffes

They weren't in the mood to take direction, so I opted to take the shot with them symmetrically placed. The light was a bit strong: it was taken at about 2:00pm, the worst time possible. I cranked up the colour response on-camera but it blew out the top end a bit.

Cool shot. It being blown out a bit is barely even noticeable. The novelty of them standing together in a mirrored fashion more than overcomes that.

Great shot, kudos on using symmetry. One thing thats bugging me though is that the horizon isn't level

I like the shot and the mirrowed effect it portrays , in a larger version the blown sky would be more noticable , and it is one that I would want to save for sure , have you tried cropping a tad , IMO it would still be a great shot with out the sky as your subject realy holds my eye , the sky I would not have looked at it if you had not pointed it out . But can see that in a larger size it ..........

Thanks for all the great comments.

I was worried about cropping out the sky as that makes the wooden post bisecting the image much more noticeable.

Fixing the horizon is an easy fix, so I'll do that now...

DSC03650.jpg

Took a bit longer than I thought. I keep getting sidetracked by all the shiny buttons in Photoshop I ended up playing with levels, colour balance, contrast & brightness, and the Alienskin's Exposure filter.

I don't know what I haven't done to it...

It does look better.

Still leans to the left, while looking much better.
