The colours are nice, but you shouldn't have cut off the child's feet. Also, I don't really like the placement of the grass-concrete border.

You mean aside from the adorable child?

The colors are a it strong, but it enhances the young feel of the picture.

When I first saw it, it seems like all the elements of the picture funnel me towards...the weed!

The border between the grass and the concrete, the border in the concrete, the cascade made from the child, to the ball, down to the weed.

We can't always compose these shots perfectly, that's for sure. I'm just nit picking for the sake of critique here.

It is an adorbale shot but would like to have seen it on a less "busy" background. meaning more solid instead of the break between the grass and the concrete

razad, Welcome

From your title, a shot at eye level or lower could have produced an image in which you got the hands clapping nearer the face (so each could be featured closer/larger if cropped) and possibly against a neutral background (sky, building wall), eliminating the competition for attention.

If you had moved quickly to the right and shot towards ball, so it was nearer child, you could then switch to a potrait crop, with a diagonal ball/hands/face. Options to consider the next time you see one of these wonderful moments.

What a cute shot , posed shots rearly have the feeling you captured here . I do find it a tad dark , & with it being a full body shot I think the feet should have been in the frame , looks like you have a cute little model who will give you lots of presious moments to capture .I love the feel of the photo .
