Just wondering if you read the forum posing rules?
I like this photo. The larger version I think is a bit harder to judge. Looking at the smaller version I really like the cap. Was that the focus? Color is nice in this shot and the background is just enough not to distract but enough to add interest. Try reposting the smaller shot I think the rules state to stay around 600 pixels on its longest side. Some here have slow connections and page load times can keep people from viewing the photo.

I don't think any offense was intended, it's just cumbersome (call me lazy) to have to scroll sideways to see an image. You don't actually have to post 2 images to have a smaller image appear in the forum. Just look at the "medium" or smaller size on your flickr page, then past the html code for that image. We'll all be able to see any image you post without having to scroll and you'll still only have to upload 1 image.
It looks like you're basically doing the same thing now, just with the large html as opposed to medium, so it should be really simple.

i like the focus, but pay attention to your background. the cluttered bars distract your eyes and ruin the shot IMO

ya think? I think it sort of adds to the idea that its sitting on a ledge or a window sill somewhere. Like its an actual shot out in the wild so to speak as apposed to a set up shot.

I guess my question would be: "What are you trying to tell the viewer with your photo?"
I don't get a story with this photo and there is nothing around the focal point to help give me any info about what you are trying to acheive with it. No offence but it looks like you were just testing a new lenses DOF. The focal point is pretty much smack dab in middle too. |

IM not one to think every photo has to have a aerth moving story to it. Most do but some are just photos for the sake of it...the photographer liked the look i mean there are hundreds of photos on here alone that I don't think "Whats the story behind it?"
I think some photographers like to capture a time or event and hope that photo tells the whole story in it and some just take photos cause they look cool. I tend to go on both sides of that fence...depends on the subject....
