Default Court house

walk 9-30-07102
This is straight from the camera. I am not sure if I should clone out the trees or leave them and cropping would bring more focus to the court house. I just wanted your take on it too. Thanks for looking!

Hi Val. This is technically an very good shot of the courthouse. Could you have shot fromthe right side to avoid some of the trees or tries a more angular view showing more of the side as well? The clock tells me you shot at high noon. A shot earlier in the day or later in the afternoon may have offered more dramatic lighting. When we tip the camera up we will get converging lines as the building walls tip in. This can be corrected in some software. The sky is a nice deep blue but would look better with some clouds or color. Is the building illuminated at night? A shot just after sunset but before total darkness may work as well.

The lighting is a bit bright, but it is a nice exposure. This is the kind of picture that would work well as a documentary picture of the courthouse...which might be exactly what you were going for!

Like clockdoc says...if you tried this with more interesting light it would be more dramatic.

Lee, the lighting at night is very poor. We walk by it everyday so I will try to push back the times of our outings and see if I can get a better shot. I just happened to bring my camera along for our walk yesterday. Thank you for the suggestions.
Robin, I am just taking random photos throughout town to add to my little ones scrap books. I figure a lot can change in a few years and it would be nice to have something to look back on, so yeah kind of a documentary for them. Thank you for your input as well!

I like this photo but the trees are a bit distracting. I personally wouldnt crop it at all. The sky in the shot is a beautiful colour.

Walk 10-2-07 078 here is one from today I managed to find a spot where the trees where not in the way as much. I don't like the sky in this one as much. Maybe I will try again tomorrow around 6.

I don't use photoshop, I can reinstall it though. I would love to know how to do these things with it. I usually use paint shop pro, I will check to see if there is any tuts on how to do this with it. Thanks for the advice and I will post the edited photo after I figure it out.
