No comments yet, so I guess I'll have a go at it.
I think it's a difficult subject. I'm not really feeling it though, perhaps because I'm not necessarily sure what you're going for. There's a pretty crisp focus on everything, and the foot takes up about half of the photo, give or take. So I guess to me it kind of winds up being overly without focus because nothing particularly stands out. I think that the pattern formed by the footprint is quite interesting, and perhaps if the focus had been more on that it would be better. Different angles? More open aperture? Or even further away with more footsteps? Just a few thoughts

Wow, that was kinda brutal - but I asked for critiques
![]() I guess I just thought it was kind of neat and liked the pattern and contrast. I was out shooting birds and only had my 55-200 lens - so that was the widest shot around the print I was able to get. I did want to get more of the surrounding, but with 55mm that was the best I could get.

I'm sorry
I'm more the brutal honesty sorta person (don't hate me lol)Personally if I couldn't get further away, I probably would've gotten closer, food for thought for next time. I still think the shoe print has a cool pattern though if that makes it any better ![]() And I bring bribes of chocolate when I find my card reader

i have to agree with nicole. while the texutres are real nice, the subject doesn't do anything for me. it's just a random footprint. it's not leading me anywhere, it's not telling me anything special, it's just there.
now if it were a wider angled shot and it was the only footprint, or if there were a trail of footprints leading me to something, it would be completely different.
