Now that I'm living in Manhattan and trying to get a job in photography, I'm trying to expand the subjects in which I feel comfortable shooting. I love cityscapes and landscapes, I just feel awkward when it comes to shooting random people. Today I decided to break that awkwardness and shoot some people! Here are my first shots ever. Please give me advanced criticism and tell me if I'm on the right track!

Hi jmeeter:
Welcome to DPS. From all 3 photos you posted the most I liked was the first one in black and white. The others two for me lacks a little bit of interest, but the first one is great. The 3 photo seem you are hidden to take it and that wall messes it. Keep sharing your photos!

jmeeter, Welcome
The 'Rules' for this Critique Forum The gentleman reading the paper is well shot, and would be as good but more complete had you backed up just a foot to include his feet. You'd be surprised how it affects the overall look. Good shot otherwise.
