Please pardon my brutality in advance. Your flower is very... weathered. Generally unless your making an intentional statement that some how relates to the flowers battered condition, it's best if they're in good-pristine condition.

Your composition is okay, but I prefer a little less area to the right and possibly to the left of the flower. The far pedals on the left have fallen out of focus, and your background isn't all that appealing. It lacks contrast, and allows the flower to get lost in the similar colors/luminosity. A darker background or one with a different color would have been nicer.

Please don't take the above criticisms to heart, as I don't intend to be cruel. I know from my own personal experience that it's hard to see even the most weathered of flower in a negative light. But you have to anyways.

I do like this flower. It contrasts better with the background and is in a lot better condition.
