I actually like the focus as it is. I think if you'd focused on one of the hands, the player becomes the subject and there's not enough of him (?) in the shot for that to work. By focusing on the fretboard, the guitar is the subject and the blur on the two hands just strengthens that idea. The noise works for me as well - great shot!

I think it is distracting to have the fretting hand so out of focus - the rest of the shot is great though.

i like the color and processing, and i always love film grain, but i could care less about the small focusing on the fret board. focus on one of the hands.

I like the focus on the fretboard, but you could try another shot with the focus on the guitarist's hand on the fretboard, it all depends on what you wanted the focus to be, the guitar or the player! But the grittiness is just fantastic, works for me, has certainly given me some ideas!
