Hi innershell,
Welcome to this forum. I liked the concept of your shot, but there is a lot of scope for improvement in terms of sharpness, exposure and composition. Please post your EXIF data so that the members can help you better. You can view some water drop photopgraphs in Saralonde's Flickr pages http://www.flickr.com/photos/2373312...7600324671506/. I found them outstanding.

I honestly kind of like it. I like that you have the stream that you caught slowly breaking into droplets, and then it ends with one large droplet. It give a sense of progression to the shot.
But the background is very distracting and takes away any sense of a strong picture in my mind. IMHO i would say try it some more, but experiment with different background colors, you might find you like it. One other thing, the first thing i do with photos i don't like it change them to B&W, you would be surprised what you find when you do that.
