Just curious but could you have achieved a better result with a faster shutterspeed and wider aperture (or a different ISO?)? How did you arrive at the exposure combination here? The subject facility seems to be brightly lit to allow such settings. May also have been more effective shot a little after sunset before the sky went completely dark. A piece of house window screen or even nylon hose stretched over the lens will create a star effect at the right aperture.

Clockdoc, I was in tripod and tried different combinations of shutter speed and aperture and found this one was best of the lot. I did not raise the ISO, because as it is light was less and I did not risk grains with small aperture. The leaves and the billboards were very far apart, so I did not open the aperture more. The star effect was created automatically, with less exposure, the leaves became completely dark; with more exposure, the lights became burned out.
