Thanks for providing the EXIF data along with your photo. That really helps me when providing a meaningful critique. Congratulations on using a higher ISO to get this shot. Many would have let the opportunity pass by because of the low light. You did a nice job of panning with the action to help capture the train at 1/13 sec! The angle at which the train is coming towards the camera made your job a bit harder. Panning with the train at 90 degrees to the camera is the easiest (not always THAT easy though) angle for panning but it would not have had the same impact as your shot. I like the color balance. Nice work! Hopefully your posting will encourage others to try their hand at slow shutter speed panning like this. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Whoa. Really nice. Good job on the panning, as clockdoc said, panning at an angle is extremely tough.
Actually, I find that the noise adds a nice touch to the picture. |

Really good job on the panning. I too think the noise adds a little something extra to the shot. The one thing that bothers me is the yellow or orange cast to the picture. That may be the effect you were going for, but I'd be interested to see the temp cooled down a bit.

Thanks for the feedback. I haven't done too many slow shutter paning shots but with how well this one turned out I'm going to work on it more.
