Default Church composition

A friend of mine ask me a photo for his magazine.. the subject must be something liked with church and Christianity..

i choose this.. how can i improve it? what do you think?



i took it about 2 years ago in a church of Siena, Italy..

As a photograph, it is rather nice, but as for using it to imply "church", it isnt so good.

I don't think it really captures the feeling of a church. Maybe taking a wide angle shot showing the inside of the church where the people sit, while also showing some parts of the architecture of the roof would be nicer, or taking a close-up picture of the altar would be nicer.

However, seeing as you took the shot two years ago, I don't think that would be very feasible...

To improve this shot, I think you could try cropping closer on the cross, removing the lower and right sides of the picture. And maybe a slight increase in contrast and brightness might make it look better.
