Default A Happy Flower



Took this in the afternoon in my backyard.
Added the border on photoshop and increased contrast.
What do you guys think?

Gorgeous! I think I'd like it better if you narrowed the depth of field just a bit though

Very nice. I especially like how there is a ring of highlights around the flower petals.

As for critique, those green stem things on the left are "crossing over" ontop of the flower and it's a bit iffy to me. If you reshoot this flower you could move it aside. A more shallow depth of field to give a more blurry background could have helped the overall image. And lastly, I would recommend a square crop on the flower if all the things I mentioned previously were addressed.

The color on this flower is magnificent. My only suggestions would be to crop it in a bit closer, raise your dof and maybe try removing or reshooting with out the stem in front of the flower petal.

perhaps too saturated, but i still like it. i would suggest cloning out that green blade that is overlapping the flower. good framing and focus.
