Hello all! I'm Igor Tchounkovskii, I recently (5 minutes ago) joined this forum and it's quite amazing. Nice community. I took a shot of my niece a couple days ago and wanted your thoughts...

Hi Igor and welcome to the group. You have posted an excellent monochrome shot of your niece. The lighting is soft and even and while shooting at f/2.8, you have maintained interest on the baby while allowing the second subject to fade a bit into more shadow. Very nice work! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Default very nice

I like the expression of the baby or lack of and the delicate nature of the mom. I'm 50/50 on your depth of field just because she has on glasses. Good shot.

I really like this shot. You did a great job on the lighting, there's no distracting background, and I like the focus and DOF. Great job.

Very nice photo.

I'd have to say that the main subject here is obviously the baby. Yet, the woman's glasses are most in focus. I really do like how it fades out of DOF though. Everything else I think is fine or very good.

It's gorgeous. Baby shots are the best-great personality. :-)

good expression and capture, but the baby's eyes should be in focus, not the tip of the glasses.
