Thanks for reposting. You have done good job shooting at her eye level. Love the sharp focus on eyes and face. My only critique would be, pet belnds too much with background. B&W is right from camera or through some software?

Nice shots- exceptionally sharp of a furry friend as many cameras have trouble auto-focusing on fur. Or was this manual focus? I, too, like a good black and white image. Instead of shooting in B&W at the camera, shoot your originals in color and convert them to monochrome with software. Picasa2 by Google, a free download, has some interesting Filter Effects, that will convert your color image to what it would have looked like if shot on black and white film through the basic color filters such as red, green, yellow and orange. It is a neat program if you have not used it.
