Default Charlton Farm

Charlton Farm

Looking for some feedback on this photo. I cropped a little off the bottom and boosted up the saturation a little. This is pretty much what I envisioned when I took the picture.

Thanks in advance.

Nice work! Great sky and foreground. For my personal cropping tastes, I would take a little off the base and the right side so that the farn/buildings are not quite so centered.

Post Just my two cents

It's hard to critique something that turned out how you had envisioned, but I'm going to try anyways.

I like how you've captured the size of the field, it definitely feels large. But it also bothers me as the farm it self is so small, which leaves me to conclude that the field is your primary subject... And that leaves me feeling very underwhelmed, as fields just aren't that interesting to me.

I can see that you've decided to go with the rule of thirds. I like how you've used the break in the clouds as the upper divisor.

Now with a little cropping down the sides, I could just see this as the default background for Microsoft's next OS.

I'll let you know when they call.

Thanks for the comments everyone. On my way to work but will be back later to try your suggestions. James I think I have to agree with you about the field.
