Default Orange Mums

I was experimenting with my camera this afternoon and flowers were they focus of my attention. This is the best shot of the day. I know it's far away from perfection, but I thought I'd ask for everybody's opinion.

Flowers are so beautiful and have such lovely variations of color and texture that I find the best way to photograph them is to keep it simple. My eye is drawn to the yellow center, then is pulled over to the little flowers on the right. If the flowers on the right were more out of focus or gone altogether, it would improve the shot.

Thanks for the advice Sara, I'll be sure to keep it in mind.
Peeperita, thank you. I've seen some of your photo's, and they're all wonderful. My photo is nothing that you should be jealous of.

Once again, thank you ladies.

I decided to try and fix the main problem Sara pointed out. I think it's a nice improvement myself, but that's just my biased opinion.

I really love taking pictures of flowers also, (although the mums in my garden don't look like yours). I really like the second picture.

Beauty is not in the eye of the beholder but the angle in which you shoot the picture.

Thanks invu69.

tjw, I was told it might be a chrysanthemum of some kind. It's certainly possible that it's not. I'm not a florist in the least bit, so my flower identification is limited. Looking around the web though, it does bear a resemblance to daisy poms.

Thanks for your comments.
