I really like this shot...particularly the perspective. Perhaps a bit less sidewalk...and that traffic light might be a bit of a distraction...but I'm just nitpicking.

Good image. Because it's good, I have to bring harder criticism. There seems to be no point of focus here. My favorite light blurs are those of cars on bridges, because the bridge and bridge lights create a background. I do like the street lights the background, but a more interesting building/structure could improve it. Good image though.

Thanks for your comments!

Yeah well a bit of sidewalk for sure. But I was in the middle of Time Square, with a lot of people around me, and no tripod. So decided to put my camera on the ground, and take this long exposure shot! I couldnt really lay down either!

I am glad to see people experimenting with shots such as these. If you are interested in time exposures (this may require a neutral density filter depending on available light). Use a tripod and photograph a busy scene with people walking such as at a mall, train station or other indoor area with lower light levels. If the exposure is long enough and the people keep moving through the scene, no one will show up on the image. I once had a pesky young kid ride his bicycle in front of a bus depot we were shooting on 8x10 Ektachrome one evening. In one shot he was invisible as he kept in motion throughout the exposure. In the other, we caught some specular light flashes off his handlebars when he stopped for a moment. Thanks for sharing your shot with us.
