The only thing I don't like about this picture is the power line on the right side. What do you think?

Where your background is pretty much a blue gradient, I think you could easily clone the power pole, lines and the tree on the right hand side out. I think that alone would help your picture out a lot.

NICE! I agree about the power lines and the little tree on the right...

The exposure and focus of your shot are excellent, but, I feel locomotives can be composed in many ways, from different angles creating different stories. The powerlines and trees are minor distractions, which can easily be removed by cloning.

I think you could crop this down eliminating the power pole leaving just a tiny bit of room on that side and match the crop on the other side. This would leave the train filling virtually every bit of space in the frame thus making it appear bigger still. Then, you should be able to easily clone out the tree on the bottom right.

Good shot as is, is this something you could go back and shoot again? My only other suggestion would be to try this on an overcast day. This would eliminate most of the shadow which could improve this as well.

i tend to agree about the cloning issue.....a simple fix.....and possibly bringing up some detail out of the shadows on the right side....

nice shot....
