Help- when I tried to post the above image by using the "1. Copy and paste this HTML into your webpage:" option from Flickr that I always use the result did not work and just showed the text I added. When I posted the static image with "img" tags around it then it put the static picture, but when I went back to edit to type this text all I could see was the picture not the html code? What has changed????

If you want to look at larger sizes of this you will have to just go to my Flickr page (speedwell park set) as it would not work here today for some strange reason.

I am new to this site, but figured I might as well jump in with my own opinions... I like the picture in general, but something about the colors seem unnatural to me.....I am not good at the whole editing process, so I have no suggestions on how to fix it.

I like the shot - good catch with the wings folded out. My two suggestions would be to crop down to the one, big goose if this isn't cropped already, and see if you can do anything with the blown out chest. Was this shot in RAW? If so, it may be a little easier to fix.

Nice timing and nice catch!

i'm not sure what happened to your flickr upload....i wish i could help....

it's a great capture of your subjects....one leading your eye to the other.....the blues bother me though.....and i think lowering the saturation on them wouldn't affect anything more than those awkward shadows.....

Yes it was shot RAW, but in Lightroom the red did disappear when I raised the recovery slider indicating that the highlights were no longer blown out - so I am confused why you think they are, can you give me a little more detail.

I will try dropping the saturation, but the colors are quite close to what was that morning. It was early morning with some strange lighting conditions.

Looking closely at the chest you can see a hint of detail in a couple of places, but with the bright light, you can't quite make them out. I went to your photo stream and saw a couple of shots where the chest of the geese is not in bright light and you can see the detail better. This is what I meant - if "blown out" is not the correct term, I apologize. You can see the same thing on the front tip of the wings.

Some of it could also be the smaller image. There was no larger image available in your stream, so I'm not seeing it the same way you are.

You are correct, it is blown out slightly - I'll have to revisit, thanks.
