Ok, took this one this afternoon. I think the sun will NEVER shine again! I worry that the contrast looks a little off, but I swear I didn't mess with it--that's the way the paint on that old barn really looks.

Whaddya think?

Oh, in case you're not farm implement savvy, that's an old harrow, a small one, used for dragging the ground to prepare it for seed.

I like the saturation of the colours, It's perfect, the Greens stand out at the bottom, the black is very charcoal like and the harrow is a nice rusty red. I also like the contrast, the worn down parts of the fence looks just great and very detailed. One thing is I would say to move the leaves from under the harrow as they are nearly the same colour and maybe have had them on the left in the grass. On the very bottom I don't know if that's sand, or just whitish coloured grass but it presents too must distraction I think. If it's movable (no idea what it is LOL) i would move it. Taking into consideration that there are always things we can't control it's a great shot! As I said I love the colours, very vibrant and a very sharp image overall. Great shot! 8/10

First of all, the composition is good, workable, and the tones are nice, if slightly oversaturated looking.
Unfortunately, there is a lot going in this shot. The grain and individual contrast of the wood interferes with the eyes movement.

While I agree with a most everything mentioned above, I think all those things work for this image. There is so much to discover. I love it!

I could move the leaves (never occured to me--good idea!) but I can't move that whitish stuff--it's grass. I may re-visit today and try again with the leaves moved--good point. The sun is supposed to shine today, too, so that may give the entire thing a different look...

Interesting shot. I like the subject and the composition.

I think the leaves add to the old-world feel to the photo. It is just an unlucky coincidence that they happen to be the same colour as the harrow.

I'm not sure how much time you want to spend on this, but it would probably help a lot to use software to "paint" the light coloured grass to match the green in the rest of the grass. It would also help to simplify things if the lock was edited out.

It´s really nice. The fence colors are just amazing and make the old harrow stands out.
