Default Eastbourne Groyne, covered in Seaweed

Eastbourne Groyne

I love this shot as it shows the contrast between manmade objects (nuts and Bolts) and Natures own colouring; however I feel it is just missing something, but I don’t know what?

Focus?
Sharpness?

Any suggestions please

Thanks

Nice composition! I really like the green in this shot.

May be by playing a bit with the exposure and the contrast you can add more vibrancy in the whole view.

Try cropping a bit off both sides to eliminate the soft bolt on the left and the brown spot on the right leaving you with a more vertical image and two sharp bolts. Good eye for the abstract.

I like the shot ,but it seemed need a bit more contrast & a little crop helps to bring out the foucs i think , I hope you don't mind ,i played with it ,It is a very interesting shot ,I love things that are out of the norm .

I have to say that I rather like the original as it is. It might be improved with a slightly greater depth of field (perhaps stop the aperture down to f/5.6 and push the ISO up to 200 - I checked your settings on Flickr). A touch of sharpening could help if applied with a subtle hand.

However, I would be happy to keep the original shot.

Cheers Guys for all the comments
