I love how uninteresed they look. I'm no Photoshop wiz but it would be great to get the colors to pop out more. The sky looks blown out which for me is a little distracting. I'm also seeing a loop of rope(?) on the very bottom of the frame toward the left side?

To me it looks like you are shooting Nikon. I find my Nikon tends to over expose just a little bit giving me images that look just a little washed out. When I adjust my exposure compensation down just a touch I end up with better defined and more vibrant images. Either that or my monitors are just too bright

It's a great image. It's a great view into another culture. I would love to hear a little background about your images. The colors on the image are great. I don't know if you planned it or not but the pairing of who is sitting where works very well too. Red, Purple, Orange and Red.

I agree the sky looks a little blown out, but otherwise this is a great shot. It's always interesting to peer into another culture. I love the way the color of the clothing/wraps really pops against the neutral background.

I agree with Robert and Adam whole heartedly. I love the colours on the barren rocky background. But I think you could do better with less DOF to blur the mountains behind, obviously you can do it with any post processing program.

Robert is right, I use Nikon D50 and I also go for -ve exposure compensation to get more saturated colours when not in manual mode.

Thanks for the replies.
The picture is taken with a Nikon D80.
I also mentioned that the sky is blown out. I did shoot in manual mode, but maybe it has to do with the light metering mode.

The picture is taken at the Quilotoa crater lake near Chuchilán.
The women were already sitting at the edge of the crater.
When I asked if I could take a picture they took their scarfs away for me.
Really nice people, Ecuadorians!
