Default Cannon Beach Evening

This is one of those shots that I am trying to salvage. It is a couple of years old, and am just trying to recover some salvageable ones. It started as a nice enough evening shot, but it wasn't particularly compelling as a larger pic. I cropped it some, intensified saturation, sharpened it slightly and de-noised it some, all in Photoshop CS3. I took this by resting the camera on a log or rock at the beach, but even then sharpness was off (the f/4.5 stop doesn't help that along, but a larger aperture would have rendered this too dark. A tripod and a slower shutter speed, combined with a bit larger aperture would have worked better). I think it works fine at small sizes, and I'll have to be happy with that, but I thought I'd share it here and see what your take was.

EXIF: Nikon D70, ISO 400, 70mm, f/4.5, 1/60 sec., No Flash.

Thanks,

Scampi

I should beat you to chunky salsa with my tripod for the crooked horizon, but other than that it is good. The person and dog are a little small though, so either get them larger in the frame or clone them out. Perhaps also cropping a little off the bottom. But the location and colour are stunning. Good work!

Other than the people ont he beach and the crooekd horizon I like the colors. It gives it a nice and serene feeling to it.
