I like the way the building is lit in the colour shot. However, the building is crooked. Also, I think a tighter crop would look a bit nicer.

Yea, I'm starting to think the building is crooked in real life too!

The bubble on the tripod showed level, and when checking myself to other objects I was level, but everytime, the tower happens to be off. Weird huh?

i like the color photo a lot myself. i have a question, tho'...I would never have noticed the building was crooked until it was pointed out...is this something you learned to look for while learning photography, or is it something you just notice naturally? Do you only notice it because you are consciously 'critiquing' a photo, or, again, is it something that just pops out at you...i'm going to have to be careful in my own shots, because i find myself not noticing this naturally.

I like the illumination by the setting sun better than the black and white version. As Matthew suggested, a tighter crop may help. Perhaps moving the camera back a bit and to the left would have allow better use of the tree overhang and the tree at the left side of the frame. Photographing a building such as this at three different times of the day can be very interesting (early morning, noon and late evening).

The light and color on the tower is gorgeous in the first version The B&W version doesn't do anything for me. The shadowed areas become too dark.

I love the illumination on the building. That light looks great with such a great sky as a the background. I like the crop the way it is and I like the reflection in the water too. I agree with others who say work it in PS to straighten the building.

Well, by popular demand (and because I think everyone's right too) here's the shot straightened out by Picasa:
