Talking nyc at night

This photo taken from the 62nd floor of a high rise in midtown manhattan. The intense amount of light hitting the building on the far left side is ambient light from times square.

If this is an image you can re shoot, try using the base iso of your camera instead of 1600 and a smaller aperture to bring out more details and a crisper image. I am guessing that you may have use a tripod or something to steady your camera when you captured the image since you indicated that your exposure time is 1 second or is that 1 minute?

I agree with the staighting of the horiozon. also you may want to consider using the 2/3rd rule move the horizon up or down a lil. i think it would look good with less sky.

Yeah, I might crop the sky or try a lower ISO next time for a crisper shot, but it's a cool picture. Thanks for including some exif info. Really helps when analyzing a shot.
