Since you posted it in this forum, I would like to point out a few things here:
I would have eliminated the portion of the net because it is not aligned with the top of the frame, alternatively I could have shown more of it an used its pattern for a purpose. The main subject is well thought, I liked the idea. But, I would have put more light on it, it is getting lost in the board and is centrally placed (position can be kept). The ISO must be high, so there are a lot of grains here.

subrataofkris said the first thing that came to my mind - light. I'm not sure what kind of lighting setup you used, but all the light stops a few inches in front of the subject leaving it in the dark. One other suggestion would be to crop the net even with the top of the frame and maybe crop out the white top just leaving the net "mesh" for and interesting look.

I'd get rid of the net and expose it correctly so the white ping pong ball is actually white.

Hi, a very neat idea for a shot indeed. I agree with everyone here in saying that the lighting seems off and the write band of the net is distracting. But I'd also like to say that I'd like to see this with a much closer crop. I personally feel there's a little too much dead space in front of the mallets - but as I said that's me, and photography is nothing if not personal. A great start though. I'd like to see a repost once you've done the edits you mentioned.

If you put everything in the proper lighting situation, I don't think the net would be so distracting. As it stands now though, it is.

I really like the idea, just get everything brightened up some.

The first 2 things I noticed were the noise, and the net being off-horizontal. I like the shot and the reflection of the ping pong ball, but those weren't the first things that caught my eye.
