Default Silent Buddha

Its just a 4 inch statue of Buddha, lit by a faint natural light and a torch. There are 2 shadows because of this. This is another of my indoor experiments. ISO 1600 at F/7.1, has given me a lot of grains. The darkness is intentionally kept as it gives me the same ambiance as a monastry.

Please let me know how I can improve

To noisy from the high ISO. Plus some camera shake. You need a good tripod.

subrataofkris --

Considering the high ISO, I don't actually see much noise, even at the full original size. You must have hit it hard with the noise reduction filters....

I also think your main subject is fairly sharp, nor am I noticing shake. I like the mood, composition, and tones, and about the only thing I might like more would be moving closer to the subject.

There's just a tiny bit of shake visible in the face. It's not super sharp. If you applied noise-reduction, that could be it. This would be a neat shot on a tripod at ISO 200. There's just way to much noise.

I actually like noise in certain situations, but I really think this would be much better without it. I really like the lighting, it adds to the feeling of serenity or enlightenment of the meditating Buddha. This is a good concept - good luck with experimenting with higher ISO and please post your results.
