Default Kitty Toes

I shot this yesterday. I feel the toes are slightly out of focus and that bothers me but I absolutely love the rest of the shot and would like to know what everyone else thinks.

Adorable! I wish my cat would sleep through me shooting photos As soon as they hear me, they perk up and ruin the shot!

what a fun idea for a shot....

i think if you leveled out the field with a crop and toyed around with levels it could be even better...

KagoGrl,

I think the photo is wonderful! I happen to like that certain pieces of fur around the paws are blurred while others are in focus. I'd be very proud of this photo!

There, see what you think of the new version: I'm using a new program to edit so it's not perfect but you get the idea.

KagoGrl - I always like your unique perspective in shots. Never boring! The first shot here is very good, the edit is even better (I couldn't place what was a little off in the first one, but Peeper nailed it -- the slight angle to the field.)

This technique may be old news to you, but I've been using a high pass filter a lot recently when I want to add a little sharpening without introducing much noise. It's painless and quick. See the brief tutorial HERE.

I personally like the focus of your current shot and wouldn't change it. I only mention it because you sound worried about the focus in your initial post. Thanks for sharing!
