Fruit 6

I think i'm gonna have to learn to use one of the post processing programs so I can fix a few things.

I'm so new to all of this that I don't even know the terminology to describe what I'm thinking, so you may want to take my comments with a grain of "she doesn't know what she's talking about!"

The circular blur around the pot (like a vignette into bokeh? LOL) - it seems too deep, like it shouldn't blur into the pot itself or onto the edges of the plate. I think I'd rather see those crisp. And the pink plant in the background pulls my eye away from the fruit.

I do like the concept though! Luckily it's the kind of shot that you can reshoot if necessary!

Phylersphan,
Thanks for the input on these, I hope to re-create and play around at a later date. My door bell rang with unexpected company so it put an end to my photo goofing off today, so I just posted what I had.

I like your "outside the box" approach to this shot. Tell us more about the circular blur you have surrounding the image. Did you achieve this with post processing or a camera filter? The background can be a bit distracting when shooting in the garden so be sure to check what is behind your subject. Again, a good idea with the shot and title!

Thanks Clockdoc,
This was done with editing in Picasa, I have been know to be real old fashioned and use a little vaseline on my lense for the blur.
