I like this version (except for the wasp, eeek! Can he be cloned out??)

I especially like how the fruit is cut and visible from beneath.

Is there any way to get rid of the hunk of wood holding the planter, so that the bottom of the planter is visible (maybe set the planter directly on the post that it looks like it's on?)

I think this shot would benefit from a crop that had the pot coming out of the bottom as opposed to the wood and stand set up you've got going. Neat idea!

it is a wonderful concept and agree totally it would benefit from the removal of the square block.

This is the third shot is your series of blooming fruit and I like the way you have tried different approaches with the same subject matter. I agree with others comments about the wooden base. This would be a good candidate for shooting it from below but through a large piece of glass or a glass table top. As a substitute, perhaps you could simply hold the glass plate above the camera and crop out any fingers holding the plate. You have a good eye and are very creative! Keep shooting!!
