Default Room To Think

I took this photograph for a separate photo assignment, but thought I would post it here for a little feedback from my friends.

The endless horizontal lines of wooden seats creates a very nice serene pattern, though the diagonal supports at the bottom break the harmony. I loved the way the character is positioned, I would have liked him to stand out a bit more, may be more colourfully. May be if he stands there...

tufcat,

Blame the model if this one doesn't fly. I thought for a moment you had placed a store mannequin on the bleachers, leg akimbo and left arm - where? I'd imagine both feet down, head in hands, or arms on knees, head tilted. This guy looks like he's waiting for his wife to finish her laps. Good concept, though.

The guy does look like a manequin from far off. Mabe you could have used something to make him stand out (if it wasn't a real person or was a friend). Maybe a red baseball cap or something to pop out.

He lost his left arm in a horrible department store accident when he was younger. He doesn't talk about it... Actually, he doesn't talk about anything.

Here is a wider angle picture of Nutmeg Industries in Tampa, a large sports apparel manufacturer. Their facility is made up to look like a stadium facility, complete with a non-functional grandstand across the roof (see the press box with no roof) stadium lighting in the parking lot and as you guessed, a (24/7) mannequin sitting on the top row of the bleachers.
