Default looking for help to narrow down two pictures...

don't really think this is the best forum section for this, but it works.

i'm wanting to enter a contest titled 'summer dreams' which ends in a few weeks. there are some stipulations on what you can enter so after meeting them, these are what i came up with for the theme. not really sure what judges might look for, but hoping you guys could throw out some suggestions and let me know which two (if any) would be worth sending in. while none of them are all that dreamy, i haven't had time to shoot something specifically for the contest.

figured i'd post this on a few different forums i'm a member of and see if the consensus stays the same. much appreciated!!

All four are interesting shots. The last one with the guitar is my favorite, with the second (bird) a close second. However, not sure if the bird is really "dreamy." The flower might be better for that. Good luck!

If the contest is titled "Summer Dreams" I would skip the photo's of the guitar (good photo, but not a "summer dream", it looks sad) and the one on the playground with the reflection in the water and the rather dark cloud in the sky, again not very Summer Dream-ish.

That leaves the bird and the flower of which the bird is my favourite. The bird-picture makes me think of a nice long summer evening. The flower just doesn't do anything to me..

Hope this helps and I am curious what ppl on other forums chose.

My favourite is the bird because it has more interest than the flower to me (and I agree with what others have said about the other two pictures). Good luck!

I'm a huge fan of the flower. To me it seems very dreamlike with it's abstract background scenery but yet still captures the idea of summer to me. The bold color really catches my attention. I think both the 2 and 3rd are great shots but my fave is number 1

mdwsra4,

"General Chit Chat" is the better section for this. Some there are getting up to 3 pages of responses, which would be a better sampling.

It's the guitar for me. I think I'd call it 'Broken Dreams'...

i vote for the bird...

the empty playground and the broken guitar somehow connotes the end of summer...the flower though a nice shot doesn't seem to fit the theme...

hope this helps...

The second one is great. IMO.

Good luck and let us know if (when) you win! :-)
