Nice! The blurred background is good. I like the detail and patterns on the butterfly. However, the photo looks a little dark to me.

Yup, it looks great. It does seem a little dark. I would like to see how it would look if there was more saturation in colors. All that should be easy to fix.

You might want to change those settings if you want people to try to help you more -- but that is your option.

Thanks everyone for your comments. As you can see, I've lightened the photo just a touch. What do you think? Also, I've changed from "private" to "public" in Flickr so you'll have access...thanks again, Todd

ToddC,

It is a remarkable color combination. Butterfly is a little soft-focussed. DoF is so shallow as to make butterfly appear "stuck on" the background. What is the little blue tip to the right of the head?
