iam not really quallified to critique your picture, but can i say, i love the lighting and shadows, however the picture on the whole looks to false to me, staged even for wanting a better word. the tools are to clean as is the enviroment.

I think it makes a nice still life. I prefer my still-life's to be clean looking, so the fact that everything is clean and crisp looks just right. The only thing that I might change is the composition somewhat. It all seems very centered along the middle line. So perhaps moving it so the scene fills the frame a bit more or it's not just along a single line could be another way to shoot it.

Yeah, I like how that one fills up the picture better I do like the shapes and reflections and shadows that it creates too. I just find the overall look of it very pleasing.

I liked the first picture. I love the second picture.

The only thing that didn't look right to me in the first picture where the glasses - 1/2 in focus 1/2 out. It works with the bowl - but the eye was drawn right to the glasses every time.

I love the second picture - everything looks very clean.

Love the second photo! The reflections and shadows are really nice, and I like the black and white.

Second one is better. Nice one. But..what puzzles me..what do glasses have to do with smoking?

Lighter is facing out of frame, carrying viewer with it. Glasses and pipe are facing in to right, tamper is facing in to left. The corner of the table is still a mild distraction.
