Default Incoming Storm

I found the original photo slightly boring caonsidering it was just gray, so I don't know if the blue helps any. Also, i find the tree slightly distracting.

any comments welcome

Actually I quite like the colours... What I don't really like is the crooked framing of the shot.

The blue looks quite dramatic, but it needs a portrait of landscape flame. Like matthewchj, the diagonal placement hit my eyes hard.

If the trees where not there it would make a nice abstract with the color gradient kinda look to it but as it is there is not a good subject in this photo. The clouds are too uniform looking to make them interesting the color does help a little but overall I would delete and move on. If you wanted an incoming storm kinda feel to it I think it would have been more effective to take a wider lanscape shot showing some foreground and the storm clouds rolling in replacing clear skies.

I agree that the landscape orientation is pretty confusing, specially considering the right side is completely black. Nevertheless a picture that can be very deamatic with some simple rotaying and croping.

I like the colors but I, too, think the diagonal is confusing and distracting.
