Thoughtful monkey
On a trip to the zoo I found this thoughtful monkey. Taking the picture - I had some problems with the fence - it was quite thick wires. But by moving around - I could take the picture between the wires. It moved around a lot - and therefore I also had to move around a lot. But luckily it sometimes sat still - and looked very thoughtful!
It was a sunny day. The picture was taken with my powershot s3is with an aperture of f/3.5, a shutterspeed of 1/400s and ISO 80. What do you think? - are the eyes to dark? - is it a problem with the shadow (from the fence) over the monkeys face? - what was the monkey thinking about?

Considering everything you had to work around, I think you caught a great moment! The monkey's expression is what really makes this picture.

In my opinion the monkey is wondering how long he has to stand still until you take your shot....

Having the eyes lighter will help with the expression, especially if you can add the appearance of a flash as a catchlight, whether you used one or not. The obviousness of the cage overhead makes the shadow perfectly reasonable, and isn't very noticeable anyway. The simian is considering the nature of Man, and the flea in his ear. Or whether he'll sign your model release.
