Default Fake spider

Hi,

I'm quite new to photography but i daily read this blog and try to apply the beautiful tips given there.

Here is a shot of a fake spider taken during the Festa major de Gracia (Barcelona).

I don't know much about pictures post-processing using Photoshop or tools like that, so that's the original shot. What do you think?

Phil

philn,

Welcome to the forum.

Thank God its not real one!!

I like how you used your focus in this shot. Your main subject is in sharp focus against blurred background. The placement works fine here because it feels me its moving into the shot. The shot is too bright towards the left background. May be a different aparture or shutter speed setting or different time of the day (less light!!) could have been improved this.

Thanks for your comment Palachandra!

Yes that day was quite shiny on the bright side At the time I thought contrasting green+black and white would render nicely. Maybe it's just not a good practice to have white regions like that.. Can probably be improved using Gimp or Photoshop, I'll try that when I have some time!

And next time I'll fine-tune aperture, thanks for the tip
