Default Bird drying wings

Drying wings

Heres one more for today. We were on one of those little tour boats at Wakulla Springs, Fl. Beautiful setting, lots of wildlife, around 10am. Not a lot of room on the boat to move around and had some issues with the sun in other shots but I turned around as we passed this bird drying his wings and got this one. Wish I would have captured his whole tail feather, oh well.

It is a shame you couldn't get the whole tailfeather, but this is a lovely shot. I like the light playing across his wings and he does look full of attitude.

This is an Anhinga. They swim under the water and then come out to dry their wings. Fun to watch.

Neat looking birds! Even missing a little of the tail feathers on the first shot, I still think it's a great catch. Looks like a fun trip!
