Thumbs up

I really like the lines and have the feeling of being sucked into the vortex. I appoligize for not having a critique for making this better, I like it how it is.

Nice one! I love how the lines attract your eyes to the center of the flower

Love the colors, lines and overall composition. More DOF (lower 3rd is blur) works better!

Reminds me of something Imogen Cunningham would've done. Great textures and colors. I like the depth of field here, it's not razor thin like you get wide open, the pistil (sp?) and back of the flower are both completely in focus which balances nicely with the closer blur.

I like this one also, the flower looks flawless from this angle, the colors are intense and beautiful and I even like the blur, it like an infinity pool.

That is a very good shot of a beautiful subject - in particular, the choice of what to capture in focus and out of focus is great (always a challenge on such a close-up photo).

The only improvement I could suggest would be the possibility of rotating the camera forward a bit so a little more of the flower's stamens are shown rising above the blurred foreground.

Wulf

ps. it is a subject I have explored myself. Here is my favourite result so far:
